Grace Alliance Church is a part of the Christian & Missionary Alliance. A denomination focused on the deeper life with Jesus Christ and making Him known throughout the world.
We believe that one God exists as the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and Holy Spirit. Without question we believe God continues to speak to people today through His Holy Spirit and His Word; His Word being the authority upon which we must live our lives. Every man, woman and child live in a broken relationship with God as a result of rebellious choices called sin. However, because of the great love of God for mankind, He sent His sinless Son, Jesus Christ, to provide freedom from sin and the opportunity for us to be restored to a relationship with God through faith in Christ alone. The Church is where we gather to use the gifts the Lord has given each of His followers to encourage and equip each other for the mission of taking the Good News of the Kingdom to a world in desperate need of it.
My wife (Lee) and I have been living here in the North Charleston area now since November of 2022 and are loving the low-country! Having pastored for many years prior in the north central mountains of West Virginia, we are needless to say, enjoying the warmer, snowless climate. Just this morning on my way to the church office from a hospital in West Ashley, I came across a bridge spanning the marshes with their wonderful aroma. I said to myself, “I love that smell!”, then added, “…and I get to live here!”. Most importantly, we have very quickly come to love the Grace Alliance Church family to which we are privileged to be a part.
Allow me a few moments to give you what I believe is, and will become even more so in the future, the “Flavor” of Grace Alliance Church. As a community of Christ followers, we desire…

At Grace Alliance Church, we desire to live lives for Jesus Christ in a transparent manner. It is our desire to live life with nothing to hide. As we become deeper followers of Christ, hidden things are exchanged for freedom. None of us are perfect. Truth is, when we share not only our victories but also our flaws, we grow stronger in our faith both individually and as a church family. We truly desire that people see Christ through us rather than ourselves.
“The quality of being genuine”
The saying, “What you see is what you get”, is truly how we at Grace Alliance desire to live out what we believe. We aren’t going to win you over with amazing coffee, music, or ambience, but rather, a genuine love of Christ and people. We believe in the genuineness of God and His Word, and trust Him to “Win” you over Himself.
“No one condemns you, and neither do I. Go and sin no more.” – Jesus
In the same way the moss blankets this forest floor, so grace and truth cover us in the person of Jesus Christ. Jesus spoke the words above to an individual living out sin in that moment. Yet, He did not condemn, but extended grace and at the same time, truth, “Go and sin no more”. This is how we at Grace Alliance believe we are to relate to the world around us; demonstrating the love of Christ through grace and truth.
