Juneteenth Freedom Day, also known as African-American Freedom or Emancipation Day, is the annual American holiday observed on June 19. A special Juneteenth celebration will be held at Grace Alliance Church. We will begin with a special presentation during our 11:00 am worship service by Katrina Carpenter, the founder of our ministry partner, Jean’s Angels. Then, after the service, we will have a picnic on the church grounds. There will be pulled pork barbeque from Baker’s BBQ of Summerville. Live music by Don Colter of Myrtle Beach. And lots of fun and games. EVERYONE IS INVITED to this free event! Bring a lawn chair and an appetite, but we will provide everything else.
Grace Alliance Church will partner with Eastside Missionary Baptist Church in a celebration of Juneteenth. On June 19, 1865, freedom for all enslaved people was first celebrated. Becoming an annual celebration on that date, the name was contracted to Juneteenth. The program will include a time of singing and prayer and an educational video. Following the program, a social will be held in the Fellowship Hall.
We invite you to join with us in the journey of faith at Grace Alliance Church. If you are new or visiting, we are pleased to have you. If you are looking for a church home, we hope you will join us.

Learn MoreAs Jesus’ love transforms us, we are compelled to share His healing love with our neighbors. Alliance ministries show best how we share the practical message of Christ’s love with the marginalized, the poor, the wounded, and the sick at home and around the world.
