“The Color of Compromise” book discussion group

January 7, 2021 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every week that begins at 2:00 pm on Thursday, repeating until February 18, 2021

BOOK CLUB starting Thursday, January 7 from 2:00-3:00 pm.

This is a 6 to 7 weekly Zoom study, led by Rev. Reggie Screen.  Everyone is welcome to join.

The book, “The Color of Compromise” is an acclaimed, timely narrative of how people of faith have historically–up to the present day–worked against racial justice. And a call for urgent action by all Christians today in response.  It is authored by Jemar Tisby, an African American speaker, theologian, and writer. (You can order your copy on Amazon. Please make sure you are buying the book and not the study guide.)

Each week will be recorded and made available at any time, so if you can’t be present some of the weeks you can still read the book and hear the discussion.  If you are interested in being a part of this Book Club or if you have any questions, please send an email to GAC.office.staff@gmail.com.

Reginald S. Screen is an Air Force Veteran and currently serves as an Assistant District Superintendent and Church Planting Director for the Christian & Missionary Alliance South District. He has been in ministry for thirty years (mainly involved in church planting, church redevelopment, discipleship, coaching, and leadership development). He currently serves as the President and CEO of the 360 Coaching, Consulting and Training Group, LLC and President and CEO of 3L Cultural Intelligence Group, Inc, a Civil Rights non-profit organization. He holds degrees in Accounting, Biblical Studies, Organizational Development (with an emphasis on coaching and leadership development), Christian Leadership, and Apologetics and Theology. Reginald resides in metro Atlanta.

Alliance Ministries

As Jesus’ love transforms us, we are compelled to share His healing love with our neighbors. Alliance ministries show best how we share the practical message of Christ’s love with the marginalized, the poor, the wounded, and the sick at home and around the world.
